Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 7, 2026

This policy explains what HumanizeText does with your data. The short version: we use the text you submit to generate your result and, unless you opt out, to help us test and improve quality; we never sell your data and don't require an account.

The text you submit

When you humanize text, it is sent to our server and to Cloudflare Workers AI to generate the rewritten result, then returned to you. To keep making the rewriter better, we may retain the text you submit and the rewritten output to build private evaluation sets and test improvements — never to identify you, and never sold or shared. You are in control: outside the EU/EEA/UK this is on by default and you can switch it off any time with the “Help improve” toggle on the tool; inside the EU/EEA/UK it stays off unless you turn it on. When it is off, your text is used only to fulfil your request and is not stored. Retained text is kept for up to about seven months and used only to evaluate and improve quality; to have it removed, email us at the address below. The AI Detector runs entirely in your browser; that text is never uploaded.

File uploads & web links

When you upload a PDF or PowerPoint (.pptx), the text is extracted in your browser and only the extracted text is sent to the humanizer when you click Humanize. The original file never leaves your device. When you humanize a web page by pasting a link, our server fetches that public page once to extract its readable text; we do not store the original file or the link. As with pasted text, the extracted text and its rewrite may be retained to help us improve quality unless you switch the “Help improve” toggle off (and are off by default in the EU/EEA/UK).

Rate limiting

To keep the free tier available to everyone, we count how many free humanizations come from your IP address each day. This count is stored with a short expiry (about a day) and is used only for rate limiting — not to identify or profile you.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first tool that does not use cookies and does not fingerprint or track you across sites. It gives us aggregate counts such as page views per page, so we can see which languages and pages are useful. We also keep simple aggregate counts of feature usage (for example, how many humanizations or exports happen) with no personal data attached. To understand whether the tool is useful over time, your browser keeps a single anonymous “first used” date in local storage and reports only a coarse return bucket (for example, “returned within a week”) — no identifier is ever sent to us or stored on our side. If you choose to sign in, we keep basic first- and last-use dates for your account so we can measure retention.

Advertising

We may show ads from third-party networks such as Google AdSense to keep the tool free. When ads are enabled, those networks may set cookies or use device identifiers to show and measure ads, subject to their own privacy policies. You can manage ad personalization through your Google account and your browser settings.

Payments

If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by PayPal. We do not see or store your card or bank details — PayPal handles them under its own privacy policy. We keep only what we need to recognise an active subscription.

Third parties we rely on

Cloudflare (hosting, Workers AI and analytics), PayPal (payments), and — where applicable — Google AdSense (advertising). Each processes data under its own terms.

Your choices

Because we do not require an account or store your submissions, there is little personal data to request or delete. For questions about your data, contact us at the email below.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. The date below shows when it last changed.
